The weather was “crummy” around lunch time and it got worse before it got better. It was sticky hot when we started to play and it got even hotter as we played our set. Audience participation levels were tremendously high as we brought out a few chestnuts like, “Groovin’, Just My Imagination and Stand By Me”, since for this gig we stepped outside of the blues for several songs! It was a wonderful experience. Everybody from the wait staff to the zoo personnel were tremendous! Thanks go out to Brendan Johnson for his support. We thoroughly enjoyed performing for these people and zoo goers/families and we look forward to coming back in the near future!

Thank you for a great program. A very nice sized crowd, a high energy performance by a band where every member was really into it, which really captured the audience. The Detroit Social Club delivered! Please give my praise & gratitude to everyone in the band.

What A Blast!
Over 80,000 people lined Jefferson Avenue from 9 mile rd. to 11 mile rd. in St. Clair Shores. It was a beautiful day and it didn’t rain until afterwards. We made a lot of new fans as people danced along beside us as we slowly moved down the street. What a great experience! So much fun!
We’d like to thank Cheryl Furdos, Parade Chairperson and Dave Rubello, Organizer for inviting us. Hope to see you all next year!
